PULSE is excited to be working alongside a leading healthcare organisation to recruit Registered General Nurses for one of their private hospitals in Bury.

The hospital offers Neuro Rehabilitation services and specialises in acquired brain injury and Neurological Rehabilitation. The service offers care, support and encouragement to help patients regain their maximum physical, emotional and social capabilities in an environment that offers individual care and positive outcomes.

The Neuro-Rehabilitation unit is for people aged 18+ who have an acquired brain injury and require rehabilitation. Patients will require full nursing care and some patients will be on long-term ventilation support. The RGN will be involved in co-ordinating care, which focuses on maintaining and improving the patient’s quality of life.

There is also a separate site that specialises that provides continuing care and patients will get transferred here when the Neuro-Rehabilitation unit can no longer rehabilitate them. On this unit the RGN will be involved in co-ordinating and delivering a high standard of care that focuses on maintaining the patient’s quality of life.

Positions are available for RGN’s on both the Neuro-rehabilitation unit and the adult continuing care unit. For both units nurses can be provided with training on how to care for patients who require long-term ventilation support.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A desire to work with long term ventilation patients
  • The ability to allocate and oversee the work of junior staff
  • The ability to undertake and manage direct patient care and work alongside the multi-disciplinary
