Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) South West London £25.76 - £28.00 / per hour Band 6 Are you an experienced Community Psychiatric Nurse looking for a new challenge? We can offer you the opportunity to work in the community in South West London and the surrounding areas. You will be visiting people in their homes, so having access to a vehicle is essential. Our client has full time contracts available for immediate starts so please contact us today! You will be responsible for: - Co-ordinating the care of patients - Review and monitor patients care plans - Liaising and regular meetings with patients, relatives and fellow professionals in the community treatment team - Visiting patients home to monitor progress - Assessing patients' behaviour and psychological needs - Discussing with the patient the problem and the best way to plan and deliver care - Build relationships with patients to encourage trust, as well as listening to and interpreting any needs and concern they may have - Ensuring the correct administration of medication and monitoring the results of treatment - Work with distressed patients (non-threatening way) and resolve the source of the distress - Applying 'de-escalation' techniques to help people manage their emotions and behaviour - Help develop their social skills - Prepare and maintain patient records - Promoting a 'recovery' based approach to care You must meet the following criteria: - Current NMC registration - A minimum of 2/3 years experience working as an CPN - Access to own vehicle - Occupational health vaccination history in hepatitis B, measles, rubella, varicella and tuberculosis - Full time availability and immediate start In turn you will receive: - Attractive payrates - Flexible working hours - Reward scheme from HCL Nursing - Free uniform We regret to inform you that applicants who do not meet all of these requirements will not be considered.
