Can you train clinical healthcare assistants and support workers?

If you’re interested in preparing the next generation of nursing assistants, hospital and healthcare support staff through training, apprenticeships and other qualifications, then this is the job for you.

We are looking for an hourly paid Visiting Assessor/Trainer in Clinical Healthcare Support to work as part of the college’s Business Centre team. This role will usually be based at the learner’s place of work and will involve working outside of the college.

The type of training you would deliver includes:

Undertaking physiological measurements

Undertaking ECG’s

Obtaining venous blood

Understanding mental health

Dementia awareness

Moving and positioning individuals

To be considered for this role you will need to have a confident and professional outlook. Ideally you will be a qualified assessor and trainer. However, if you work in healthcare support, are currently occupationally competent – this is essential - are passionate about preparing others to work in a similar role and are prepared to study towards the training qualification you need to make this job your own, we will provide you with full training.
