About the Role

We are recruiting for permanent Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) and Nurse Practitioners (NP) with Prescribing to join our team working for the OOH service in North East Essex on a full or part time basis.

We have 2 sites available, one based in Colchester and one based in Clacton so there is flexibility for where you are based from. Our Colchester base is located within the heart of Colchester, and is within walking distance to the train station and also Colchester General Hospital. Our Clacton base is located within the grounds of Clacton & Disctrict Hospital and is a short walk from the beach. Both locations have on site car parking.

Both bases have excellent, hardworking teams that are warm, friendly and welcoming and would help to support you in your new role whilst you adjust to the new environment. 

Working in an Out of Hours environment is both challenging and rewarding; it would suit an ANP/NP who has a flexible can-do approach and patient centric mind set.

We are ideally seeking to cover the times below, however we do have other hours available:

•Saturday 8 Hours AM shift Colchester base
•Sunday 10 hours mix Colchester/Clacton

or

•Friday evening 4.5 hours Clacton
•Saturday overnight 8 hours
•Sunday evening 7pm - 12am

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for delivering face-to-face and telephone services enabling patients to obtain health advice from the appropriate health care professional.

You will hold a Nurse Prescribing certificate and be competent to prescribe for patients and be responsible for providing an excellent standard of patient care and health promotion to the general public accessing urgent care services.

You will have the highest clinical standards, and you really care for the people you’re treating...

Qualifications & Experience
You will be:
A qualified RN
A recognised Nurse prescriber
Skilled in triage and minor illness
In turn, you’ll have time to take full advantage of our training opportunities too, whether you want to diversify your clinical skills or move into management.

Additional Information
This is a permanent role and we have full or part time positions available. Full time is 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis. Dependent on experience and shifts worked the salary for this role is from £32.50 p/hour - £42.50 p/hour.
