Pulse is proud to be assisting a very prestigious and well-respected private Practice in the centre of London's renowned medical district.

The practice currently runs with over 4 GP's and one part time GP alongside the Lead Practice Nurse. This practice runs both general medical consultations and emergency consultations - this is a very busy practice.

This would be to work Monday - Friday, regular hours.

The successful candidate will be working within a committed team of practitioners delivering a variety of services so this will be a varied role. The Lead Practice Nurse will assist the GP's with the day-to-day smooth running of the clinic, which includes; general medical consultations, exercise and lifestyle coaching, travel health advice and vaccinations, Occupational Health assessments and various cardiac testing.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest to develop their career as a Lead Practice Nurse - previous practice nurse experience is a must.

As the lead you will be providing clinical leadership to the other nurses as well as assessing their nursing practice.

This lead position will also involve assisting the senior GP and practice manager with reviewing and updating policies and procedures in addition to collate report across the practice too.

Duties will include:

  • Patient registrations
  • Venepuncture
  • Cervical smears
  • Administration of vaccines and injections
  • Lung functions tests
  • Drug/alcohol screenings
  • Wound care and removal of dressings

This is a very diverse role, where every day is different! The Lead Practice Nurse will be rewarded with a salary up to £44,352 plus dependent on experience and skills.

There are also extended roles as part of the Lead Practice Nurse - being clinically responsible to the practice partners, providing an effective prescription service having full stock control through a computerised system. You will also be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the travel medicine and other nurse consultations.
