Our client's clinic is in Gloucester and is a service that will support up to 20 women with personality disorders within a Locked Rehabilitation Service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, across three discreet clinical areas.
We are looking for RMN / RNLD nurses who have an excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act policies and be able to demonstrate the latest understanding of nursing practices. You should also be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and organisational skills.
You'll have a current NMC Pin as a qualified RMN already, but this is an environment where you can develop further and faster, with our training, mentoring and support.

You will be responsible for:
-Assisting in the provision of high quality care and a safe and therapeutic environment.
-Taking charge on a regular basis and assisting in the supervision and development of junior staff, Nurses, Support Workers and students.
-Supporting the development of evidence based practice.
-Being responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual patient programmes of care- with a focus on risk assessment and risk management strategies, ensuring that the requirements of the Care Programme Approach are met in a timely manner.
-Reporting ill health amongst patients and making requests for RC/GP/professional visits where necessary.
-Administering prescribed medicines and documenting the same in accordance with their Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.
The ideal candidate will be fully conversant with the Mental Health Act 1983, understand the latest nursing practices, have knowledge of PSI and will also have some experience in a forensic or secure environment.
