Band 6 School Nurses (SCPHN)

Warwickshire School Health & Wellbeing Service

Full-time (37 hours and all year round)

We will consider applications for part time hours/job share

We are seeking to recruit newly qualified or experienced School Nurses who want to make a difference to the lives of children, young people and their families across Warwickshire by helping us deliver our innovative School Health and Wellbeing Service.

You will based from one of our area hubs either the Caldecote hub which operates across the North of the County including Nuneaton, Bedworth, Atherstone and Keresley or the Stratford Hub which operates in the south of County, including, Strafford, Kenilworth and Alcester. You will work from a number of age appropriate settings – schools, partner agencies, children’s centres and homes working flexibly and creatively to best engage and meet the diverse health needs of those you serve.

You will lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (5-19) within a cluster/locality and apply leadership skills and manage projects to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people in a given population.

You will be required to facilitate and deliver a range of assessments, brief interventions, proactive public health initiatives and work both independently and as part of a multi agency team around the family. You will also provide professional leadership information, advice and support to skill mix teams to enable the efficient and effective delivery of the School Health and Wellbeing Service. Safeguarding will be an integral aspect of the role.

You will share Compass’ commitment to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.

You must hold a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse qualification (School Nursing) and possess a full driving licence and have access to your own transport.
