The Priory Hospital Nottingham has 14 en-suite bedrooms providing effective and personalised evidence based treatment programmes for both men and women.  The hospital only accepts patients referred and funded through the NHS, and no longer operates a private healthcare service at the hospital.

The hospital offers treatment for those who require acute mental healthcare emergency services.

The Priory Hospital Nottingham provides inpatient treatment for patients with acute mental health issues.  An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our existing staff team.

As result of an internal move, we have an opportunity we are looking to appoint an experienced and credible leader as the new Hospital Director for Nottingham who can lead and shape our staff and our services, whilst upholding our corporate values.   The role

You will have overall leadership and management responsibility of the hospital and the multi-disciplinary teams, and be responsible for the delivery of excellent care and operational performance, whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers.
You will ensure both quality and financial targets are met, and facilitate the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients, and also reflect market trends and evidence based practice.
As a member of the senior management team, you will contribute to the strategic development of the hospital, ensuring adherence to the hospital’s objectives and business plan.
Promote and enhance the hospital’s reputation for care and service.

The person

An excellent track record of general management in either the public or private sector is essential, together with an understanding of mental health issues and a passion for improving clinical quality and patient care.

With a senior nursing or clinical background, your experience to date will have included roles where you can demonstrate a track record of successful service delivery, people management, budget control, business development and revenue generation.
Strong commercial acumen, in order to support successful service delivery and development, people management, budget control, business development, and revenue generation.
An inclusive and supportive management style is a key factor in the success of this role, therefore you will be able to demonstrate project management skills and experience in leading and managing change.
