The Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) has two exciting opportunities to become an integral part of the Mental Health and Addition Services (MHAS) as a Nurse Unit Manager.

The SCHHS MHAS will add 2 new inpatient services with the opening of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. These positions will be integral in establishing and leading the team in providing excellence in clinical care to adolescent and older persons consumers and their families.

The Mental Health and Addiction Service operate within an integrated model of care that provides a range of mental health services across community and hospital settings.  The team is committed to the provision of services which are person centred and recovery oriented with the aim of assisting individuals with mental illness to realise their optimal potential as individuals and as valued citizens of the community.

The Nurse Unit Manager will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external providers and organisations, along with being responsible for the overall operational delivery of evidence based clinical services in response to the complex needs of consumers presenting with mental health and addiction disorders specific to either Adolescent or Older Adults.

These positions provide a unique opportunity to utilise your clinical expertise in either Adolescent or Older Adults, advanced leadership and management skills to role model excellence in nursing care and leadership, while contributing to the future development of the Adolescent or Older Adults in-patient unit with day program within Mental Health and Addiction Service.

We are looking for two Nurse Unit Managers who will deliver excellence in clinical nursing practice, utilising advanced leadership skills to achieve person centred care within the Adolescent or Older Adults In-Patient Unit.

At Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service we’re changing the way healthcare is delivered to our communities.
