Clinical Lead – Assertive Outreach
We are looking to recruit a Clinical Lead to develop and shape delivery of our newly commissioned CAMHS Assertive Outreach Team.
This new service will be provided as part of Devon Integrated Children’s Services, one of the few services in the country to jointly provide health and social care services. The Assertive Outreach team will be part of Devon CAMHS and will have good links with the two local Tier 4 units in Plymouth and Bridgwater. We are proud to be a successful collaborative for the national CYP-IAPT and are committed to working collaboratively with service users, engaging with evidence-based models for intervention and knowing that what we do makes a positive difference through the use of routine outcome monitoring.
If you are passionate and enthusiastic about improving access to mental health services for children, young people and families with mental health problems and have previous experience of leading developments, we look forward to hearing from you.
We welcome applications from individuals who are happy to work flexibly and creatively to help families in crisis and maintain links with community CAMHS services in Devon. The Assertive Outreach aims to keep young people within their communities during episodes of acute mental illness and emotional distress. The Clinical Lead will have a range of experiences and skills working with eating disorders, self-harm, conduct disorders, depression and psychosis.
Devon is also a great place to live with stunning countryside, award-winning beaches and water sports, as well as moors, excellent schools and universities. Caring for our staff is really important so it helps to have so many things to do outside of work.
This role is eligible for NHS Pension Scheme membership. In addition, this role may be eligible for support with relocation or a “golden hello” payment.
If you feel you have the skills and qualities we are looking for, please apply through NHS Jobs. If you would like to find out more about our vision for the team and about our service, you can contact Cindy Willcocks, CAMHS Area Manager, on 07528 400 680 or Heather Kapeluch, Head of CAMHS, on 07791 989 546. Interviews will be held on 11th and 12th September.
