Greater Manchester West Mental Health Foundation Trust provides district mental health services in Bolton, Salford and Trafford. Individually developed and recovery focused services are delivered through both inpatient and community-based means.
The Trust also provides inpatient alcohol and drug recovery services in Prestwich as well as community services in Trafford, Salford, Cumbria, Wigan and Leigh, Blackburn with Darwen and Central Lancashire.
GMW provides secure services for adults across the wider North which include a range of care pathways. Specialist services for young people and adults are also provided, such as psychotherapy, prison in-reach, early intervention, an eating disorder service and more.
As an agency nurse, you will be required to work in various units around the Trust looking after patients requiring 1 - 1 mental health care. Prior experience is essential for this challenging role.
You will be required to work a mixture of early, late, long day and night shifts and cover last minute requests. A minimum of 2 day shifts per week must be worked, although you will have choice to work more shifts if you are available.
Current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice within a primary care field appropriate to the assignment. If newly qualified (within the last year) - evidence that a preceptorship programme has been completed successfully
