I am currently recruiting for a specialist school for physically disabled students based in Hampshire. They provide specialist education, care and therapy for students with complex physical, neurological and learning disabilities. They are looking for a Deputy Nurse Manager - Quality and Clinical Governance Lead to come on board and provide a high standard of day to day nursing care to their students, as well as take on a leadership role within the team. Job Title: Deputy Nurse Manager - Quality and Clinical Governance Lead Salary: Up to £38,000 (based on experience) Role: Permanent Hours: F/T and P/T considered, Term time or Full year considered (pro rota to 42 hours for part-time staff) Duties and responsibilities: - To ensure high quality nursing care is delivered to students throughout the campus - Ensuring nursing, personal and social needs of the students are met - To assess, develop implement and evaluate programmes of care without supervision - To undertake health assessments and screening, organising any necessary follow up - To deputise for the Nurse Manager when required - To ensure governance processes are implemented and evidenced in order to facilitate CQC/ regulator compliance - This role is expected to be approximately 60-70% clinical work with 30-40% non-clinical work Requirements: - NMC Registered (RN8/RNC is desirable) - First Aid Qualification - Previous management/ leadership experience - Extensive post registration experience - Evidence of work with children and young people who have complex physical and neurological disabilities - Evidence of previous experience in provision of clinical governance information - Evidence of robust CPD - Mentorship Course is desirable Benefits: - Competitive salary packages - Pension scheme - Health cash plan - Life insurance - Childcare voucher scheme Whilst past experience of working with severely disabled children / young people is desirable, your personality, enthusiasm and flexible approach to the requirements of the position are also of significant importance.
