Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Nurse to join the Stroke Prevention Research Unit, based at the West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. OxVasc is a population-based study of acute vascular events (TIA, acute stroke, acute coronary syndromes and acute peripheral vascular events) in Oxfordshire, and covers a population of approximately 95,000 patients registered with nine general practices. The post-holder will be responsible for managing the patient pathway and follow up of patients assessed and enrolled into OxVasc via the emergency TIA and minor stroke clinic. This post will also include assisting in physiological assessments, setting up BP monitoring equipment and liaising with GPs and other health care professionals.
The post is full time and is funded for two years in the first instance.
You must be a first level registered nurse with NMC. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
