St Andrew`s Healthcare offers a number of specialist services for men, women, adolescents and older people across: Mental Health - Learning Disability and Autistic Spectrum Disorders - Brain Injury - Progressive and Neurodegenerative conditions. As part of our commitment to excellent physical healthcare for our service users, we are looking to recruit a team of full-time Nurse Practitioners, specialising in primary and physical healthcare. Service hours will be 08.00-21.00 Monday to Friday and 08.00-14.00 on Saturdays/Bank Holidays and will therefore require shift working. 

 
As a Registered Nurse, you will act within your professional standards and boundaries to provide excellent physical healthcare for our service users as well as being an advocate for their physical healthcare needs.

You will be able to demonstrate skills in some, or all, of the following: clinical decision making techniques, identification of medical emergencies and appropriate response. Experience of assessing service users and providing some, or all, of the following interventions is desirable: management of chronic disease and long term conditions, smoking cessation, minor illness and injury advice, wound management, ECG and venepuncture. There will be the requirement to provide advice on promotion of good health and wellbeing. 

 
You will be expected to line manage Assistant Practitioners (Band 4) and be involved in regular supervision and staff meetings. You will embrace the need to work collaboratively with colleagues within your department and across the Charity.
