Exciting Research nurse job with Hays Healthcare!
A new diabetes research study is about to commence at King's College
Hays need to recruit a band 5 nurse, preferably with GCP training and with skills used in clinical research studies previously. The study will be based at King's College and Hays are seeking a nurse that would be able to work on the study overnight on a Monday, 8pm until 8am and two further days (7 hours each) during the week, likely to be a Wednesday and a Thursday.
The nurse will be involved with the study from the beginning and will forge a research relationship with a small group of regular volunteer patients. Regular monitoring of the patients will be required. The nurse must be able to take blood via cannulation and have accurate data entry computer skills. He/she must also be able to accurately follow SOP's for the study. Management, spinning and analysis of the blood samples and detection of glucose are required and their methodologies for this will be trained.
