Job Description: Working as part of the Endoscopy team you will need to ensure a high standard of nursing care and safety for patients and all service users within Endoscopy, ensure a smooth flow of patients, dealing with endoscopy procedures and recovering patients afterwards.You will need to to provide management and leadership to all staff in the absence of the Sister Duties and Responsibilities: -Assist in organisation of the endoscopy room to ensure smooth, efficient operations -Carry out observations, investigations and endoscopy procedures as required -Recovering patients following endoscopy procedures -Manage the patient flow through the unit appropriately -Assist in nurse-led clinics -Prioritising workloads and directing staff accordingly -Deputise for Sister, providing management and leadership in her absence -To maintain accurate records of patient care -Provide patients and families with information regarding the management of their condition -Responsible for the control storage and administration of drugs Skills & Experience: -RGN with valid NMC PIN -Previous experience of endoscopy procedures -Proven experience of recovering endoscopy patients -Good verbal and non verbal communication skills -Flexibility to respond to the needs of the department -Management skills -Good team player -Ability to work under pressure -Customer care skills About the Individual: The successful candidate will be confident, with clear communication and a real focus on providing outstanding customer service.
