Well Travelled Clinics Ltd (WTC) is a subsidiary company of the commercial arm of the world renowned Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM).  We are looking to recruit to the post of Occupational Health Nurse Advisor for the Travel Clinic to cover a period of maternity leave.

Duties will include:

  • Day to day responsibility for a designated caseload of occupational health clients.
  • Carry out pre-employment health assessments of employees through reviewing completed new starter questionnaires.
  • Develop relevant policies, procedures and patient information leaflets in relation to the provision of occupational health services in conjunction with the occupational health physician.
  • Provide health education and advice to travel clinic clients, so that they can make informed choices regarding travel and vaccination options

You will be an experienced 1st level Registered Nurse educated to degree level (or working towards higher education) with a postgraduate (ideally diploma level) qualification in occupational health nursing.  A postgraduate qualification in Tropical and/or infectious diseases and or travel health would be desirable.

Experienced within the field of occupational health, vaccination and immunisation and in the organisation and supervision of occupational health care clinics, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with a good level of computer literacy.

Hours of work will be 14 hours per week, generally worked Monday to Friday to fit the needs of the clinic schedules however, some shift working may be necessary, and may involve being part of rota for clinics on Saturday mornings and weekday evenings.
