We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic NMC Registered Adult Trained Nurse, with significant post registration experience, to join our team of highly skilled Nurse Practitioners in our National Referral Centre for Tissue Donation.
Our team of expert Nurses are the primary resource for Tissue Donation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Being the first point of contact for the referral of potential tissue donors excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. In this role you will be using your clinical knowledge to assess potential tissue donors for their suitability to donate for transplantation. This will involve discussions with deceased donor families about donation and obtaining their consent for tissue donation. You will also have to liaise closely with other agencies such as coroner’s offices and hospital staff, in order to arrange potential donations.
