The Isle of Arran, often described as ‘Scotland in miniature’ is an island some 20 miles longbby 10 across, separated from mainland Ayrshire by anb hour long ferry crossing from Ardrossan to Brodick, in summer, by a shorter ferry from the Mull of Kintyre to Lochranza. Arran’s stable population of just over 5,250 increases from approximately 3 fold during the summer months.

We require a dynamic, forward thinking and fl exible Clinical Team Leader to lead our Community Nursing team in providing care to this diverse patient population.

Nursing care in the community is provided over a wide geographical area by our nursing team working fl exibly throughout an extended day, including weekends and ‘on-call’. Local patient care services are provided by a wide range of clinicians from both Primary and Secondary care settings including one General Practice providing care from multiple sites and a local community hospital. Specialist links exist between clinicians and Care of the Elderly specialists.

You will work as part of the community nursing and wider multidisciplinary /multiagency team. You will be a first level Registered Nurse (General / Adult), educated to degree level and hold the post graduate qualification in District Nursing or equivalent. You will be able to provide evidence of work experience at a senior level within a Community Nursing team and demonstrate high quality communication, leadership and change management skills.

Car owner / driver is essential.
Hours of duty: 37.50 per week.
