St Andrew`s , Mansfield, Nottinghamshire is a 64 bed hospital offering specialist care and treatment to men with autistic spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities. As part of our commitment to excellent physical healthcare for our service users, we are looking to recruit a full-time Nurse Practitioner, specialising in primary and physical healthcare.  Service hours will be 37.5 Monday to Friday.

As a Registered Nurse, you will act within your professional standards and boundaries to provide excellent physical healthcare for our service users as well as being an advocate for their physical healthcare needs.  

You will need to be able to assess service users and provide the necessary interventions, which will include; supporting and identifying physically unwell service users, management of chronic disease and long term conditions, smoking cessation, minor illness and injury advice, wound management, ECG and venepuncture.  There will be the requirement to provide advice on promotion of good health and wellbeing.

You will be expected to line manage Assistant Practitioners (Band 4) and be involved in regular supervision and staff meetings. You will embrace the need to work collaboratively with colleagues within your department and across the Charity.
