Practice Educator (Paediatric/Dual Registered Nurse)
Working with a fellow Practice Educator, the post holder will maintain and further develop clinical training programmes for all care professionals in the Trust, in line with our agreed educational strategy. This will include supporting clinical theory and skills assessments, continued development of a robust clinical competency framework and assisting with the regular review of skill mix and care needs. In addition, you’ll work directly within the clinical area, advising and supporting the development of competency and confidence. You’ll therefore need to be an excellent practitioner who is seen as a role model.
A fully qualified Paediatric / Dual Registered Nurse with proven experience in education or teaching, you must have up-to-date experience with a range of clinical skills including IV and central line management, ventilators and tracheostomies and experience of nursing patients requiring end of life care. Excellent interpersonal skills and good presentation skills are also important.
Benefits include 28 days holiday, pension scheme (with the ability to remain in the NHS pension scheme for current members), life assurance and a pleasant working environment.
Successful applicants will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau).
We are an Equal Opportunities employer, welcoming applications from all sections of the community.
