This private institute located in a private London hospital provides excellence in elite sports performance and sports injury prevention and management whilst bridging the gap between elite sport, amateur sports and exercise prescription for the improvement of the healthcare of the population.
They are currently recruiting for an outpatient staff nurse to work within their motivated multidisciplinary team (comprising nursing, administration, radiology and physiotherapy staff) to develop this exciting new unit in central London to its full potential.

The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care and will work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff in their absence.
The Service is opened Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm and the successful candidate will be expected to work a variety of shift's during these times and maybe asked to work later in the evening to cover late finishing clinics
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions, whilst maintaining a safe working environment
-Assess, plan and deliver care to meet patient and family needs, ensuring all patient charges are captured and their privacy and confidentiality is paramount
-Undertake extended roles such as IV cannulation and phlebotomy
-Contribute to research based care and other practice development initiatives
-Contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedure
-Promote good communication channels amongst staff enhancing good team work
-To deputise for senior staff in their absence, demonstrating leadership and management
-Supervise and direct junior staff, promoting a learning environment
-Check and report faulty equipment
-Provide patients and families with information regarding care and management of their condition
-Maintain stock levels of supplies/equipment
-To carry out nursing duties as requested by senior staff
-Understanding of principles of wound care, aseptic technique and assist in ultrasound guided injections.
Skills & Experience:
-RGN, NMC registered with PIN
-Previous recent Ward experience
-Confident communicator with high levels of written and spoken English
-Training and experience in relevant specialist area
-Phlebotomy training desirable
