EMERGENCY NURSE PRACTITIONER – Band 7 (salary to be put in)

Are you looking for a rewarding career in one of our 7 Minor Injury Units in the glorious county of Somerset? We are looking for Emergency Nurse Practitioners to join our highly motivated team, offering generous relocation and incentives to support new staff moving to the area.

Somerset is sure to surprise you with its contrasting landscapes and diverse population. The county lies south of Bristol and North of Exeter and has fantastic links to the rest of the country. Whatever pace of life you’re looking for, Somerset has a place to suit. There are large vibrant towns with many villages and hamlets as a contrast. The county boasts fantastic arts and sports facilities, spectacular shopping centres and breath taking scenery – from the wilds of Exmoor to the beaches of Burnham-On-Sea – in short; there is something for everyone.

Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the leading provider of community and mental health services in Somerset. Our services blend traditional emergency care within a community setting and we are committed to providing high standards of care for all.  We manage over 100,000 patients annually across Somerset, with a completed episode rate of around 97%. We are about to open a new community hospital in Bridgwater (opening April 2014)  which has been designed and purpose built with the latest high tech facilities in mind. Other minor injury and urgent care units are housed in a further 6 of our 13 community hospitals.

We offer a comprehensive Continual Professional Development programme that includes both initial certification and re-certification in areas such as advanced life support and paediatric life support. Our nurse practitioners are registered with the NMC as non medical prescribers, successful applicants will be supported to undertake this if required. We would be really interested to hear from applicants with ‘special interests’ in such areas as paediatrics, primary care as well as emergency care. We are committed to providing excellence in our minor injury and urgent care services.

If you feel you have what we are looking for, can demonstrate care and compassion and have the drive and commitment to offering high quality care; this opportunity could be just for you!
