We have a new opportunity to join The Clinic as a Senior Infection Prevention and Control Nurse Specialist. As a qualified RGN with an Infection Control diploma or equivalent you will lead and managea comprehensive infection prevention and control service.
You will be required to provide effective and visible leadership, expert knowledge and ability to support the Consultant Microbiologist and the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC).
Using your expertise in infection control you will be responsible for setting quality assurance standards within the Service, ensuring fully integrated infection prevention and control approach is implemented. You will also have an interest in teaching and hold teaching qualification ENB998/C7G 730 or equivalent as this role will involve teaching, training and delivery of educational programmes.
Skills & Experience
- Registered General Nurse
- Experience in working in the UK
- Achievement of degree level in health related studies
- Achievement of MSc level in health related studies is desirable
- Infection Control diploma or related qualification
- Attendance on clinical leadership program
- Teaching qualification ENB998/C7G 730 or equivalent
- Evidence of ongoing, dynamic, continuing professional development within the specialty
- Expert practitioner in all aspects of infection prevention and control
About the Individual
The successful candidate will have well developed teaching and presentation skills with the ability to critically evaluate evidence. Organisation is key, as is the manipulation of data and reporting from relevant databases. The ability to cope under pressure and work as an individual and part of a team is essential.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You’ll also be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and innovate ways to motivate others. With an eye for detail and analytics you’ll be able to analyse and communicate data relating to the preventing and controlling infection.
