National Primary Care Advisor (Nursing, 2 – 3 Days per week)

Attractive Salary - Aligned to Professional Experience

Time bound role - 2 years

The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care services in England. We have a clear purpose to make sure care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high quality care, wherever and whenever they receive it, and to encourage services to improve.

To achieve this, we’ve made major changes to how we work. We’ve improved the way we listen to what people are saying about services, and radically changed our inspections, with bigger more expert teams who will rate the services so people can better understand our judgement.

To be successful, we need highly motivated and passionate people to join us in several key roles. We’ve already appointed influential new Chief Inspectors. Now we need to strengthen the teams they’ll lead.

An opportunity has arisen for a talented Nursing Advisor to influence the inspection and regulation of GP Services across England. Working with the Chief Inspector of Primary Medical Services and Integrated Care, the post holder will support the development of the regulatory model for GP services in England, and lead stakeholder involvement with external organisations such as, but not limited to, the NMC, QNI, RCN and NHS England.

We’re looking for a Senior Nursing professional with a proven track record in leadership. With first class communication skills, the successful candidate will have the ability to operate and lead at a national level.
