Neonatal Intensive Care Specialists are now required for 2 specialist units

Operating a combined unit of 27 cots, caring for infants of varying birth weights
NICU Level I: Infants greater than 34 weeks gestation who are hemodynamically and physiologically stable, infants who are convalescing post Neonatal intensive care and are in preparation for discharge home, infants with apnea of prematurity, infants who require tube feedings, infants who require oxygen therapy including nasal cannula/oxyhood of not greater than 40%.
NICU Level ll greater than 32 weeks gestation or who are hemodynamically and physiologically stable but require cardiorespiratory monitoring or close observation – for examples infants who are stable post op, unable to tolerate or take oral feedings, recovering from a serious illness treated in a
NICU level III , and/or requiring ventilation or continuous positive airway pressure for short periods of time not exceeTreatments will include intravenous antibiotic therapy, tube feedings, oxygen therapy including nasal cannula/oxyhood of not greater than 40%, physiologic monitoring, and treatment of apnea of prematurity.
NICU nursing will be evidence-based, family-centered care in a ‘Baby-Friendly’ environment. The NICUs will provide service 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

Completed all of your training within a Western European, USA, SA, or Antipodian healthcare system
At least 7 years progressive managerial experience
Be educated to degree level, with Masters degree in a related field.
You must also be registered with a recognised regulatory body.
