The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of connected creative, business and service professionals.
The College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join a small but dedicated team in the simulation centre to support and continue to develop simulated learning and high quality clinical skills teaching, alongside our team of academic staff, clinical partners and students.
The successful candidate will help to ensure that our students have the right skills, values and behaviours to consistently provide a safe and effective patient experience, both, now and in the future through the education and training they receive.
The post-holder will also contribute their subject expertise and knowledge of simulation with regards to nursing midwifery and/or healthcare related courses delivered by the College. This will be vital in order to maintain the high quality of learning and teaching associated with the College.
You will be expected to develop and deliver innovative, interactive learning material that is highly relevant, evidence-based and current.
The successful candidate will have a Masters degree (or equivalent), have current registration as a nurse or midwife on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register and a strong and current clinical background. Experience of working within a Higher Education setting is not essential but is desirable and you will be expected to contribute to the profile of the College. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to work collaboratively with students, academics, Trust/Healthcare partners and with support and technical staff. The successful candidate will engage with students and clinical partners across both our London and Reading Campuses and Trusts.
