Your role will be to support the Director of Nursing, Quality and Governance in the delivery of nursing and clinical governance priorities across Residential Care Services (RCS). Take a lead role in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Nursing and Clinical Governance strategy and polices for RCS. Provide leadership to RCS nurses through the Home Managers and Clinical Leads, establishing a framework for nursing practice which supports good governance throughout.
• Lead policy and service development, ensuring it promotes excellence in nursing and clinical governance through utilisation of evidence and research and has improving service user experience as a core principle. • To provide leadership to nursing colleagues, by establishing a framework for nursing practice which supports good governance throughout RCS Homes. • To directly lead and manage clinical specialists • Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice
Skills & Experience
• Considerable experience in an equivalent role within the residential care setting • Leading strategy development and implementation • The ability to influence at a senior level • Demonstrate achievements in improving patient care, being forward thinking and innovative • Redesigning practices using a wide range of evidence bases • Experience in meeting regulatory requirements • A demonstrable track record in designing and leading clinical development programmes. • Commercially aware with the ability to understand key business issues that affect profitability and growth • Ability to successfully develop others through mentoring and coaching • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Ability to maintain and enhance effective working relationships • Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes and improvements to services • Comfortable using clinical online systems to collate and measure data
