Viral Challenge Nurse - Cambridgeshire
Hays Healthcare have an exciting opportunity for a registered Nurse to play a key role in the management of nursing services within a specialist clinical research Quarantine Unit studying respiratory viruses based in Bourn, Cambridgeshire.
Hays need Nurses with supervisory experience, study management, quarantine supervision to provide guidance and mentoring to other Research Nurses, Clinical Administrators, Clinical Support Specialists (CSS) and act as lead in given projects in the quarantine unit environment.
Duties will include but are not limited to: the review and input of study protocols for logistical and medical feasibility, identification of staffing requirements, record and track study medication dispensed to volunteers during the course of the trial, record subject information into the source documentation and/or CRF as per study requirements, identify and act on study specific training needs, order receipt, log and secure storage of all quarantine unit consumables, including study medication and RVL's non-investigational medication
Some training on Retroscreen Internal Systems will be given.
It is essential for the Nurses applying for these roles to be registered with the NMC, have a Valid Basic Life Support Certificate, and competency in the recording of medical history recording, vital signs, ECG, phlebotomy.
All potential candidates need to be able to prove their immunity to hepatitis B, and Flu.
