A UK Ambulance Trust in the North West requires qualified nurses and paramedics to join their Urgent Care Desk. This position is to start ASAP, and successful applicants can earn between £17-26 per hour.

·         Are you a qualified nurse or paramedic with experience in triage and patient assessment and the knowledge to advise patients about care pathways?

·         Would you like the opportunity to utilise your skills in a non-clinical/ acute setting, without the risks associated with such environments?

·         Would you like to help sustain and improve the telephone support services that help the NHS run effectively?

Benefits of this role:

·         Minimum of 30 hours per week available

·         Shifts between 8am - 2am, 7 days per week

·         Full training given

·         Centrally located in Manchester with many transport routes

·         Opportunities for candidates to assist in the on-going development of the service

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Provide telephone based triage and advice

·         Manage the workload to reflect the diverse patient requirements

·         You will be required to answer calls from members of the public, who are experiencing urgent care enquiries

·         Non computer based triage over the telephone

·         You must adhere to the ethos and policies of this employer.

·         This role is not a face-to-face clinical role, but you will still be held accountable for every decision you make.

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Must be a registered nurse or paramedic

·         Have experience in an assessment/triage setting

·         General Nursing experience in A&E, triage and other similar acute settings is vital.

·         Previous telephone support experience is desirable, but not essential.
