Cambian Churchill (London)   

Cambian Churchill is a new 53 bedded facility with state of the art facilities for male patients who have a Mental Illness situated on the borders of Lambeth and Southwark in London (opposite the Imperial War Museum).    

Cambian Churchill is dedicated to psychiatric rehabilitation.  We provide intensive assessment and treatment for people stepping down from secure facilities or acute hospitals.  Our aim is to build the living skills, insight, education and confidence required for individuals to achieve the independence required for discharge.  

Job Role   

You will be encouraged to contribute to, and influence the development of active care. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you must be able to show initiative, demonstrating clear decision making and organisational skills. You will be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual patient programs of care. You will have a focus on risk assessment and risk assessment strategies, ensuring that the requirements of the care program approach are met.  Additionally you will support empowerment of the patients with particular regard to their dignity, rights and advice.  Individuals should be fully conversant with the Mental Health Act and it’s recent updates; have an understanding of the latest nursing practices as well as the local and national agenda’s that impact on nursing practice and patient care. 

Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people and Service Users you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.    

Successful candidates will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.
