Information and Clinical Specialist
£16,920 - £18,208 per annum (pro rata)

Young Epilepsy is the only national charity working exclusively on behalf of children and young people with epilepsy and other neurological conditions. With over 100 years of experience, we are a leading provider of education, care and specialist health services. The charity offers support, information, training for health, social care and education professionals and campaigns to improve access to, and quality of, health and education services.
We are looking for someone to join us in this crucial role, where you will support the operation of our helpline and enquiry service, by being a source of specialist information and advice about childhood epilepsy for children, young people, parents and carers. Key to this role, you will use your invaluable skills and experience to deliver training to parents and professionals, both on campus, and across the UK, and work to raise the profile of epilepsy and expand the provision of information and education available.
As a registered nurse and educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will have solid demonstrable experience of working in the field of childhood epilepsy, and with children, parents and carers. You will also have a proven ability to produce engaging copy and review information in a variety of media, to ensure accessibility to a range of audiences. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to listen, empathise and inspire.
