Ambulance Service Instructor - Qatar - Up to £30,500 pa. TAX FREE - Plus Fantastic Relocation & Benefits Package
We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Ambulance Service Instructor to work within the Emergency Medical Service Department at the leading Health Care Provider in Doha, Qatar.
The successful candidate will deliver American-accredited Emergency Medical Service programming, continuing education and ongoing training, develops teaching material; coordinates student placement for clinical practicum with preceptors; performs student assessment and evaluation.
Further responsibilities will include:
Preparing original teaching material, lesson plans, objectives, Powerpoint presentations, lecture notes, skill sheets, hand outs and any other teaching material needed to conduct classroom lectures and practical skills demonstrations aimed at meeting curriculum and training objectives.
Conducting classroom lectures and practical skill demonstrations that meet curriculum and training objectives.
Assist with the review, revision and update of course curriculum, teaching material, written and practical examinations, questions banks and scenarios.
Conducts student and employee evaluations with written and practical examinations, scenario testing and direct observation with real patients; complies and disseminates results and maintains student files for record and legal purposes.
Coordinates with Training Centre and other departments for provision of certification courses, lectures and placement of students.
Coordinates with Operations, in conjunction with Assistant Director , Training, for the placement of students on practicum.
Assists with the selection, direction, supervisions and monitoring of preceptors to ensure preceptor competence in the achievement of training objectives
Review current industry trends and original research and advise Assistant Director, Training on new developments in EMS for potential inclusion in curriculum.
Participate in quality assurance investigations and reviews as required
Review the operational and functional status of equipment and supplies, coordinates requisitions, maintenance and repair requests; ensures the equipment and supplies are in clean and in good working order at all times.
To be considered for this post you must be a qualified Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years' experience. Ideally candidates will have teaching experience also, however this is not essential. Candidates who hold a Diploma or a Degree within Emergency Care or pre-hospital care are preferred.
