Registered Mental Health Nurse RMN - Staff Nurse £24,000 – £28,000 RMN - Charge Nurse £28,000 - £30,000 Hertfordshire

PULSE is delighted to be working alongside a prestigious private healthcare organisation that has 275 sites across the UK.

This is a private hospital that provides specialist assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities who have complex needs including challenging behaviour and mental health problems. The service is for adults’ aged 18-65 who require more intensive intervention than is ordinarily provided by the Community Learning Disability Teams. The hospital also consists of 14 spacious single rooms with en-suite shower facilities, laundry and kitchen facilities, a dedicated therapy and activities room, visiting rooms, and gardens.

You will be working in an adult inpatient unit that consists of 14 beds and provides assessment and treatment for adults with mental health needs. Additionally patients may have an enduring history of significant mental health problems and be detained under the Mental Health Act.

Positions are available on the adult inpatient unit for a Staff Nurse and a Charge Nurse. For the Staff Nurse position successful candidates will be required to:

  •          Support and supervise new or junior staff
  •          Carefully monitor and check the accuracy and quality of others’ work
  •          Be very customer focused and respond to the immediate needs of patients
  •          Undertake continuing professional development
  •          Have experience working in acute mental health care
  •          Have the ability to undertake and manage direct patient care

For the Charge Nurse position you will be required to:

  •          Manage, supervise and assist the nursing staff
  •          Undertake continuing professional development
  •          Have experience working in acute mental health care
  •          Be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills as well as have experience in managing a team
  •          Have the ability to undertake and manage direct patient care
  •          Good communication and interpersonal skill
