Salary: £30,460-£40,157 per annum plus pension
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a New Community Tissue Viability post to work within the Community Nursing Service within Suffolk which includes Community Inpatient Units and Community Leg Ulcer Clinics.
Supported by the Head of Nursing and Professional Practice, this post offers the opportunity to work as a member of the Clinical Governance team to work in partnership with the multidisciplinary teams to deliver on key priorities for the continuing improvement of patient care in relation to tissue viability, pressure ulcer management, leg ulcer management.
Key aspects of the role include:
•Prevention , management, training and prevalence monitoring of pressure ulcers, offering advice and support specifically to reduce pressure ulcer occurrence
•Provide education and training to community staff in all aspects of wound management in order to achieve best practice and evidence based care
•Review and maintain the Wound Care Formulary through engagement with key partners and the Tissue Integrity forum.
•Provide accessible, cost-effective specialist tissue viability advice and clinical support on the management of complex wounds to health care practitioners, patients and carers
