Director of Nursing (Women's Prenatal and Gynaecolgy Services) - Permanent - Qatar - up to £110,000 TAX FREE + excellent benefits

Our client is one of the largest specialist women's and children's hospital's in the region and they are currently looking for an experienced Director of Nursing for Women's Prenatal and Gynaecology Services.

The service will include the following inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and services: Women’s Care Unit, Antepartum Unit, Obstetrical Diagnostic Clinic, Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, and the Center for Reproductive Health. Direct reports are the 5 Nurse Managers of each of the above units/clinics, and 1 Administrative Assistant.


The Director of Women's Prenatal & Gynecology Services has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activities and resources of inpatient and outpatient Prenatal & Gynecology Services for women. The Director of Prenatal & Gynecology Services will work as a key member of the hospital’s nursing management team and will assume 24 hour accountability for overall management and for the delivery of quality Prenatal & Gynecology Services to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The Director of Prenatal & Gynecology Services is accountable to the Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer for ensuring that the standards for nursing care and related services are adhered to in Prenatal & Gynecology Services. In collaboration with other service areas the Director for Prenatal & Gynecology Services ensures that recruiting, commissioning, onboarding, orientation and service activation responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the hospital's plans and timelines.


To apply for this post the successful applicant will be a registered Nurse and have a Master’s degree in a healthcare related field or an MBA. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years progressive nursing management experience, including Obstetrics within Academic Medical Centers, ideally within a western-centred institutions. Experience of handling large budgets and an ability to lead and manage diverse teams would be extremely advantageous
