You will be an HCPC registered Clinical or Forensic Psychologist looking for an opportunity to develop yourself in the exiting practice of clinical forensic psychology.
Our goal is to deliver effective and evidenced based interventions that improve mental health and reduce risk. You will have the opportunity to apply specialist psychological skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of learning disability in combination with the application of forensic models to treat and manage risk. This position is open to both experienced and newly qualified clinical or forensic psychologists who wish to develop their skills and advance their careers in this exciting area of clinical work.
As a ward psychologist you will apply skills and expertise in clinical and risk assessments, collaboratively develop formulations; plan, sequence and deliver group or individual psychological interventions and consult to the MDT to enable our Service Users to improve their mental health, manage their risks and progress to greater independence.

You will be encouraged and supported to develop special interests in areas such as learning disability, ASD, psychosis, personality disorder, substance misuse, sexual or violent offending treatment and specialist therapeutic skills in CBT, Behavioural Interventions and DBT. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the assessment and treatment of service users in other pathways of care in the Men`s Service.
