"Come and join our innovative specialist surgical team and help us make a difference”

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced registered nurses at both Band 5 and Band 6 to join our highly motivated, patient focused, forward thinking team within our Surgical Directorate.

The specialist surgical team provides a permanent contracted specialist workforce of nurses that work flexibly throughout the directorate in areas of greatest need to cover nursing shortfalls and/or increases in workload or activity. As a member of this specialist team you would be allocated to those areas as required to support the department either for a one off shift or for an agreed fixed period of time. The role will include shift patterns including weekends and night duties.

You will be a team player, dynamic, enthusiastic and be committed to the needs of our patients and promote a high quality service. You will be flexible, reliable and organised, with a broad range of appropriate clinical skills and excellent communication skills.

Our surgery team covers Cohort, Critical Care, Urology, Colorectal, ENT, Breast, Vascular, Acute Surgery, elective orthopaedic & Trauma.

In return you we will offer:

• Flexibility without losing benefits including pension and holiday pay
• Flexible working practices
• Training and updating
• Unsociable hours pay
• Full Trust and local induction
• Variety of work available in all clinical areas

We operate an “Improving Working Lives” programme, and the Trust can offer an excellent working environment and continuing professional development.

Interviews will be held on alternate Fridays, please note these will be in group format starting at 9am and finish at 1pm.
