Our client, an impressive, modern, purpose-built Treatment Centre in Nottingham with state-of-the-art facilities, currently has an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Senior Nurse/Team Leader to work within its expanding Outpatient Department on a part time basis 30 hours per week.

Working Monday to Friday and occasionally Saturday in the Outpatient Cardiovascular, Respiratory & Pain Management unit, post-holders will be expected to assist in the development of the Cardiovascular, Respiratory & Pain Management service and assess, plan, implement and evaluate patients’ health care needs, ensuring the very highest levels of clinical standards and patient care are met at all times.

The post holder will act as Deputy to the Senior Nurse. They will regularly taking charge of        the department and ensuring that the standards and quality of care given to the patients, together with the environment in which care is delivered, are maintained at a high standard.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate care giver and effective communicator with evidence of pro-active Continuing Professional Development. As Team Leader you will be the key to the development and implementation of new patient pathways. The ability to manage a team and to act as a specialist advisory resource for colleagues are also key skills required for the role. You will provide supervision, mentorship and have the ability to undertake assessment of junior colleagues.

You should have a passion for high standards and a desire to ensure the patients are central to their care. Team player and effective communication skills are essential. You must also be able to demonstrate pro-active Continuing Professional Development.

A good working knowledge of either Cardiology or Respiratory, or experience of working in an outpatient setting is preferable, however is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
