This is an exciting opportunity to join our Level 3 Neonatal Unit here at Medway Foundation Trust as a Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse as a Band 6 which will include Recruitment and Retention premia of £1,500 per annum after 12 months service

We are looking for motivated, innovative, dynamic and friendly neonatal nurses to join our team and help us further develop and deliver our expanding neonatal service. What an exciting time to join us!

You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, motivated multidisciplinary team working within a center of excellence for neonatal care. These are highly challenging and rewarding roles within our exciting service.

We have a team of highly skilled Consultants, Advanced practitioners and Neonatal Nurse practitioners who work collaboratively to deliver high quality care to our small patients and their families. We also have close links with Kings College Hospital who provide surgical input for our babies when required. The Kent part of the Transport service for London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex is also based with us.

Our Level 3 unit currently has capacity for 12 Intensive/high dependency cots and 16 Special care cots. We also have a transitional care nursery which can accommodate 8 babies.

We have a strong commitment to staff development and service improvement. For our Band 6 positions you will be an experienced Neonatal Nurse who has an interest in teaching and supporting students. It is essential to have a neonatal qualification and up to date clinical skills and knowledge preferably at a level 3 unit.

We value your commitment to the speciality of neonatal nursing and in turn we are offering a recruitment and retention premia of £1,500 pro rata to those who have the neonatal qualification and 12 months experience.
