HCA's Urgently needed to support clinical research studies in London
Experienced in clinical research and healthcare assistant duties?
Hays Healthcare have a fantastic opportunity for Health Care Assistants with specific hospital based/research support skills to assist in duties on the Police Airwave Study. Based at Charing Cross Hospital, the study is looking at the effects on the health of Police Officers, from the emission of radio waves from their communication equipment.
Healthcare assistants with recent phlebotomy, ECG, sample collection and monitoring equipment skills are required to support a team of nurses currently working on the study. All HCA's applying for these roles will be required to verify their recent use of these skills. All potential candidates need to be able to prove their immunity to heppatitus B. If you have worked in research before and have the skills listed above we would be particularly keen to hear from you. The HCA's should also have accurate computer skills along with good communication and people management skills.
The study will be open 7 days a week and HCA's will be expected to work any five from seven days. Training will be provided for this study's unique protocol. The study is expected to last some two years. There will be a recruitment/interview day in late November. HCA's will be required to attend and be available to begin the training immediately after, if selected.
