Accident and Emergency Nurse (A&E)

HCL Nursing is currently recruiting for an NMC Qualified Accident and Emergency Nurses (A&E's) with experience in working on both medical and surgical wards, to work regular Ad-Hoc shifts in and around the Birmingham area. Our client requires that you have at least 6 months post qualification relevant experience.


Skills Required:
- High standard of clinical skills in emergency care
- Ability to work autonomously
- Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care in A&E department
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate within the interdisciplinary team and across disciplines and agencies
- Effective communication skills (written, non-verbal & verbal)
- Self motivated, uses own initiative and will make decisions
- Able to prioritise workload
- Ability to adapt to different hospital environment and be extremely flexible and reliable
- Work well in stressful situations and able to respond effectively to challenging situations
- Maintain clear and accurate records of assessments made, nursing care and treatment delivered and how effective these have been
- Able to demonstrate safe use of patient equipment including infusion devices
- Able to source local policies and procedures
- Competent in basic life support and complex care procedures
- Ensure all patients and relatives are treated with respect and dignity at all times
