Salary: Band 8a £38,851 - £46,621 pa
Hours: f/t 37.5 pw fixed term until September 2017
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed registered nurse, with management experience who is interested in an exciting opportunity to join a team of designated research staff who support clinical trials and research studies within the Trust. Through supervision of the clinical research teams, you will ensure that all studies are conducted in compliance with research legislation and protocols and that recruitment targets are met on time.
This is a new post within the R&D department and is based in the recently established NIHR Oxford CRF on the Warneford hospital site in Oxford. The CRF is a new addition to the Trust’s business portfolio, aiming to promote high-quality clinical research in the fields of Mental Health and Neurosciences. The CRF hosts a variety of studies including National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), Medical Research Council (MRC), charity-funded studies and commercially sponsored clinical trials of investigational medicinal products.
The post will provide an excellent opportunity for an individual to progress the development of the CRU as well as their own career. The CRF has close links with Oxford University Department of Psychiatry, and provides an exciting opportunity for the Trust and the University to take part in complex clinical research studies that require fit for purpose facilities and staff.
The post holder should have a minimum of five years post qualification experience including staff
management, experience of clinical research in a health care setting and detailed knowledge of obligatory regulations and legal requirements of NHS research and study life cycles.
