About the service:

Northern Sydney Local Health District is one of the largest public health service providers in  Sydney (and, in fact Australia). It stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and is staffed by over 12,000 employees.
 

You will be working at NSLHD’s brand new Mental Health facility located on the picturesque Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital campus. The new facility includes:

  • a 35 bed acute adult inpatient unit to replace the existing Lindsay Madew facility
  • a 12 bed child and adolescent inpatient unit (the first of its kind in the Local Health District!)
  • child and adolescent mental health community services
  • therapy rooms, family meeting areas, courtyards
  • onsite parking for 155 cars

     

About the Positions:


We have a  range of positions that need to be filled for the opening of our new facility to enable the provision of  optimum care to our clients.


These include  all levels of Mental Health Nurses, from enrolled nurses right through to Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Educator & even management positions. We also have Allied Health positions on offer including roles such as Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Social workers and more. The teams we are looking to recruit will mean that  you will work in highly specialised multidisciplinary teams.

We have positions available for virtually all levels of Mental Health Nursing & Allied Health Service staff  across Acute Adult and Child and Adolescent Inpatient  streams. So whether you are starting out on your career path or seeking that special place where you can build on your existing skills, we have something for you!

Please note that while we do have a preference for candidates with a strong mental health background we are also very keen to hear from Paediatric nurses looking to move in to the Mental Health arena for our Child & Adolescent Unit.
