Position – Surgical Team Leader-Theatres
Location – Norfolk
Salary – Dependant upon experience
Hours – 37.5 hours per week. On-call duties are required.
The Hospital provides comprehensive private hospital care to patients in East Anglia covering a wide range of surgical specialties. These specialties include orthopaedics, general, urology, endoscopy, plastics, ENT, gynae and ophthalmic surgery. They have a thriving suite of three Theatres (two equipped with laminar flow) including a dedicated sterile services department.
A motivated and customer focussed individual is required to support the management team in the organisation and provision of high quality care for Theatre patients. Substantial orthopaedic experience and evidence of working across surgical specialities are essential requirements for this post. Candidates will be able to demonstrate skills in supervising staff and organising operating lists. A UKCC/HPC qualification is required. Qualifications & Training:
RN or ODP qualification
Analysing staff and theatre management problems and coming up with viable solutions
Working as a perioperative practitioner in and across multi disciplinary teams
Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
Challenging consultants to influence evidence based practice
Share evidence based practices with colleagues to enhance service and standards
Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions for the service
Knowledge and Technical Ability
Evidence of substantial post registration continual professional development in management and related and relevant perioperative subjects. Competence across a range of either surgical, anaesthetic or post-anaesthesia.
