My client has an international reputation for outstanding care in areas of medicine including cardiac services, neurosurgery, liver and HPB medicine, rehabilitation, gynaecology, orthopaedics and many others.
The Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) provides a fast track GP assessment service for patients who need urgent medical or surgical admission. This is a unique unit to North West London and will offer patients some of the finest facilities in the country.
This Unit is in need of a Sister/Charge Nurse who will also be the outreach lead.
The post holder should have an extensive critical care background, skills knowledge and competence within the Intensive Care setting at a senior level. The post holder should have demonstrated leadership and management experience.
General Responsibility:
The post holder will be responsible for managing a team of nurses within the AAU department, managing the AAU ward on a day to day basis and to lead and deliver an Outreach service to Hospital. The post holder with be responsible for ensuring high quality care is delieverd and maintained for all patients in their care or supervision. Develop service and hospital policies and guidelines in line with current developments in critical care and research. Conduct ward and hospital audits.
Requirements:
5 years experience in critical care, 3 years senior experience, the ITU course, ALS course, Mentorship course and a degree or equivalent
