Staff Nurse - ENT and Ophthalmology - London - £30,485 - £34,564
Our client is a leading private hospital in Central London and they are looking to recruit for a staff nurse to join their ENT and Ophthalmology department.
The ENT team are seeking to employ a proactive experienced, flexible and highly motivated ENT/ Maxillofacial/ Ophthalmic and mixed general surgical nurse for our fast, dynamic short stay day case surgical floor.
Applicants should have at least 1-2 years experience at band 5 (E grade) in ENT/ Maxillofacial/ ophthalmology and mixed general surgery. The ENT Department also has paediatric patients from aged 3 upwards and we would also welcome any RGN/ RSCN dual qualified applicants. All applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and show a commitment to research based practice.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years post registration in an acute surgical setting.
Knowledge:
To have knowledge of ENT/Maxillofacial, Ophthalmic specialities.
Knowledge of clinical audit.
Knowledge of budgetary management.
Familiarity with nursing models.
Skills:
Demonstrate high standards of clinical practice in acute and fast moving surgical environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good written skills.
To be I.V. assessed.
Ability to manage change.
To be computer literate and familiar with window package and e-mails.
To be adaptable to changing clinical environment.
To teach and mentor students.
Qualifications:
RGN essential.
Ear, Nose and Throat Nursing for Nurses qualification or equivalent (ENB 338), and/ or Ophthalmic Nursing qualification or equivalent (ENB346) desirable or willingness to undertake.
