Glaucoma Service - Sister/Charge Nurse
Band 7 - £36,552 - £46,375 per annum, inclusive of High Cost Area Living Allowance.
Moorfields NHS Foundation Trust is a centre of excellence, providing high quality care across a range of ophthalmic specialities both at our main branch at City Road and in our satellite services.
An opportunity had arisen for a dynamic, and motivated ophthalmic tained nurse to take on the role of Ophthalmic Nurse Specialist in our Glaucoma service.
The successful candidate will lead a team of nurses in providing comprehensive, care, support and education for patients who attend Moorfeields Glaucoma service across the trust.
You will need to be a registered nurse with a BSc in nursing or equivalent experience, hold a recognised ophthalmic qualification and have relevant ophthalmic skills. Experience at Band 6 or above is essential with sound evidence of managerial and teaching responsibilities and experience of working at an advanced clinical level in an ophthalmic setting. You must be proficient at carrying out and interpreting advacned clinical procedures, be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and be able to demonstrate good planning, organisational and leadership skills.
