In this pivotal position, you will maintain the highest standards of care and safety for patients, visitors and staff in all departments at the Devizes NHS Treatment Centre. This will involve acting as an expert clinical practitioner whilst providing inspiring leadership to colleagues and co-ordinating all aspects of clinical practice. In particular, you will deputise for the Registered Manager, drive service development, oversee risk management and ensure compliance with CQC and NHSLA regulations, giving you considerable visibility and enormous impact.
To be equal to the challenge, you should be a Registered Nurse Level 1 with specialist theatre/recovery/day surgery training such as ENB 183/182/176/A87/N81/DO3/A21/N33 or equivalent. This should be backed by sound professional experience at Band 6, gained within orthopaedics, general surgery or opthalmic surgery, plus exposure to acute care and recovery. An appropriate degree and teaching qualification would be very useful, as would familiarity with the independent sector, and you will certainly bring a collaborative approach, deep commitment to professional development, and proven ability to manage change and plan complex workloads.
