Part Time
HCL Permanent are looking for an experienced Staff Nurse to Join their team in a Private Hospital in London. The Ideal Candidate will specialise in Orthopaedics.
Duties and Responsibilities
Pre-assessment Clinic: HIP UNIT
All Day Tuesday and Thursday (some Wednesday afternoons)
· Pre-operative test’s
· Ability to perform an ECG
· Advising Per-op Medications to the patient
· Have general information on OT equipment
· Ability to liaise with Dr’s, consultants and Anaesthetist’s
Clinics
Monday Afternoon’s (2pm-6pm) and Wednesday mornings (9:30am-1:30pm)
· Seeing the patients before the see the Consultant
· Need to take down the notes and information i.e. Age, how long post operation etc
· Asking patients to fill out Oxford hip score
· Any Test’s to hand over to the practice Manager
Other Duties:
Chasing all test results, Showing them to the correct people
- Visiting patients on ward post operatively
- Deal with any questions from patients, relatives etc
Requirements
· RGN registered
· Minimum 1 years experience in Orthopaedics
